Omschrijving
Hoog huis met brede voorgevel van Naamse steen, XVIIId; de middenpartij bekroond door een gebogen fronton met mergelvulling. In het fronton een venster in Naamse steen, waarvan de sluitsteen versierd is met een naar links gewende kop; de mergelvelden er naast met festoenen. Het fronton wordt gedragen door twee paren consoles met acanthus en masker op de geblokte pilasters van de middenpartij. Geblokte pui met segmentboogvensters en -ingangen en zware gebeeldhouwde sluitstenen. Op de bovenverdiepingen geblokte dammen. Onder de bovenste vensters panelen met Lodewijk XVI-ornamenten. Gebroken kap met twee maal twee dakkapellen en een dakkapel boven het fronton. Inwendig trap, plafond en schoorsteenmantel in Lodewijk XVI-stijl. Voor het poortgebouw zie Grachtstraat 38.

Description
Tall house with broad front facade of Namur stone, second half of 18th century; the central section crowned by a curved pediment with marl filling. In the pediment a window in Namur stone, of which the keystone is decorated with a head facing to the left; the marl fields beside it with festoons. The pediment is supported by two pairs of consoles with acanthus and mask on the blocked pilasters of the central section. Blocked shopfront with segmental-arch windows and entrances and heavy sculptured keystones. On the upper storeys blocked stones. Below the topmost windows panels with Louis XVI ornaments. Broken roof truss structure with twice two roof dormer windows and a roof dormer window above the pediment. Internally staircase, ceiling and fireplace mantel in Louis XVI style.
