BEGIJNHOF, thans gesticht De Nieuwenhof. In oorsprong kloostertje met kapel, waaraan in 1489 begonnen werd. Kapel met laatgotisch koor en schip uit 1662. Preekstoel, XVII; twee priesterzerken, 1286 en 1294; epitaafje XVI. Om een binnenplaats gegroepeerde kloostergebouwen, XVII; gewijzigd XVIII en later. Inwendig een eenvoudige tegelschouw. Grenenhouten klokkenstoel uit de 19de eeuw, met klok van onbekende gieter.

Description
BEGUINAGE, now institution De Nieuwenhof. Originally a small convent with chapel, work on which was begun in 1489. Chapel with late Gothic choir and nave from 1662. Pulpit, 17th century; two priests' tombs, 1286 and 1294; epitaph, 16th century. Convent buildings grouped around an inner courtyard, 17th century; altered 18th century and later. Internally a simple tiled chimney-piece. Pine wood bell-cote from the 19th century, with bell of unknown founder.
