Omschrijving
Het voormalig kloostergebouw ontleent zijn monumentale waarde uitsluitend aan: 1) De Koetspoort met twee zijpoortjes, welke toegang geeft tot het plein voor de voormalige rectoraat kerk van het Heilige Hart, deel uitmakende van het Canisianum. De poort heeft behoord tot het voormalig huis van de graaf de Vilian XIV, (sinds 1852 in gebruik bij het Jezuïetenklooster) en is in 1938 bij de nieuwbouw verplaatst. De koetspoort is zeer rijk versierd in Lodewijk XV-stijl; de hoofdingang is gevat in een omlijsting van Naamse steen; pilasters met paneelvulling en andere ornamenten in Lodewijk XV-stijl; gebogen hoofdgestel; hierboven een bekroning met drie vazen, waarvan de middelste op een rijk versierd voetstuk; op de binnenwaarts gebogen verbindingsmuur van hoofdpoort en zijpoortjes rusten voluutvormige vleugelstukken.

Description
The former convent building derives its monumental value exclusively from: 1) The carriage gate with two side gates, which provides access to the square in front of the former rector's church of the Sacred Heart, forming part of the Canisianum. The gate belonged to the former house of Count de Vilian XIV (in use by the Jesuit convent since 1852) and was relocated in 1938 during the rebuilding. The carriage gate is very richly decorated in Louis XV style; the main entrance is set in a Namur stone surround; pilasters with panel fillings and other ornaments in Louis XV style; curved principal cornice; above this a coping with three vases, the central one on a richly decorated pedestal; on the inward-curving connecting wall of the main gate and side gates rest volute-shaped wing pieces.
2) The ornamental components of the gabled roof of the main building to the right of the carriage gate. The ornaments belonged to the former house of Count de Vilain XIV and were incorporated into the rebuilding in 1938. In the middle of the main building a bell cote with bell by unknown founder, 1939, diameter 40 cm.
