Omschrijving
Voormalig Armenhuis, een groot in de bocht gelegen gebouw, waarvan de zeer brede lijstgevel een tussen geblokte pilasters gevatte middenpartij met bekronend fronton, vensters in hardstenen segmentboogomlijstingen en een gebeeldhouwde ingangsomlijsting in Lodewijk XV-stijl met zijlichten bezit. In het hoofdgestel het jaartal MDCCLVII. Verder heeft de gevel kozijnen van Naamse steen, waaruit de kruisen verdwenen zijn, en hardstenen tweelichtkozijnen op de bovenverdieping. Description
Former Poor House, a large building situated in a bend, whose very broad cornice-topped facade has a central section framed between blocked pilasters with crowning pediment, windows in ashlar segmental arch surrounds and a sculptured entrance surround in Louis XV style with fanlights. In the main storey the date MDCCLVII. Furthermore the facade has frames of Namur stone, from which the crosses have disappeared, and ashlar two-light frames on the upper storey. Internally a broad staircase with balusters and a carved newel.
