Omschrijving
N.H. KERK (Maria Magdalena). Mooi in het dorpsbeeld gelegen grote laat-gotische dorpskerk (midden XV- ca. 1500), bestaande uit een schip met noorderzijbeuk en een smaller koor met noordelijk nevenkoor, beide 5/10 gesloten. Hoge toren met ingesnoerde naaldspits (XV A). 3/8 gesloten doopkapel tegen de zuidgevel van het schip; tegen het koor een sacristie, overwelfd door twee kruisgewelven. Schip, koor en noordzijbeuk worden gedekt door houten tongewelven met trekbalken. In het nevenkoor oorspronkelijke, bakstenen traceringen. Orgel met Hoofdwerk, Bovenwerk en Pedaal, in 1888 door J.F. Witte gemaakt voor de Nicolaikerk te Utrecht. In 1957 overgeplaatst naar Maasland in een gewijzigde opstelling en in een nieuwe kas met oude onderdelen. Het kerkhof wordt aan de zuidzijde aan de Doelstraat afgesloten door oude hekken met hardstenen palen en twee toegangshekken (XVIII ?). Eikenhouten klokkenstoel met gelui bestaande uit een klok van een anonieme gieter uit 1393, diam. 103,6 cm en twee moderne klokken. Hoog in een steunbeer van de toren is een stenen zonnewijzer opgenomen.

Description
DUTCH REFORMED CHURCH (Maria Magdalena). Beautifully situated in the village townscape, large late-Gothic village church (mid-15th century - c.1500), consisting of a nave with north aisle and a narrower choir with north side-aisle, both closed 5/10. High tower with tapering spire (first half of 15th century). 3/8 closed baptismal chapel against the south facade of the nave; against the choir a sacristy, vaulted by two cross vaults. Nave, choir and north aisle are covered by wooden barrel vaults with tie beams. In the side-aisle original brick traceries. Organ with Great, Swell and Pedal divisions, made in 1888 by J.F. Witte for the Nicolai Church in Utrecht. In 1957 transferred to Maasland in a modified arrangement and in a new case with old components. The churchyard is closed on the south side at the Doelstraat by old fences with hard stone posts and two access gates (18th century?). Oak wooden bell frame with bells consisting of a bell by an anonymous founder from 1393, diameter 103.6 cm, and two modern bells. High in a buttress of the tower a stone sundial is incorporated.
