Omschrijving
Klein WOONHUIS, van één bouwlaag met een zadeldak evenwijdig aan de straat. Het pand vormt een bouwkundige, spiegelbeeldige eenheid met nr. 3. Het grote zadeldak loopt echter ook door over de panden Maarsseveensegrachtje 1 en het hoekhuis Schoutenstraat 5, zodat het niet ondenkbeeldig is dat het pand ook hiermee een relatie heeft gehad. De in baksteen opgetrokken voorgevel (XIX) heeft een deur en één schuifvenster en wordt afgesloten met een kroonlijst. Op het dak een gemeenschappelijke dakkapel met nr 3 van recente datum. Inwendig een 17e eeuwse enkelvoudige balklaag met geprofileerde sleutelstukken aan de achterzijde. In de kap één grenen spant met herbruikte onderdelen. Het pand is samen met nr. 3 XXd gerestaureerd.

WOONHUIS, van algemeen belang vanwege:
- Architectuurhistorische waarde als voorbeeld van eenvoudige karakteristieke dorpsbebouwing van 17e eeuwse oorsprong;
- Stedenbouwkundige waarde vanwege de ligging aan het grachtje;

Description
Small DWELLING, of one storey with a gabled roof parallel to the street. The property forms a mirror-image architectural unit with no. 3. However, the large gabled roof also continues over the properties Maarsseveensegrachtje 1 and the corner house Schoutenstraat 5, so it is not inconceivable that the property also had a relationship with these. The front facade built in brick (19th century) has a door and one sash window and is finished with a cornice. On the roof a shared roof dormer with no. 3 of recent date. Internally a simple 17th-century joist layer with moulded keystones on the rear side. In the roof truss one pine rafter with reused components. The property was restored together with no. 3 in the second half of the 20th century.
