Omschrijving
Bolestein. Landhuis in gracht gelegen, thans empire voorkomen doch sedert restauratie van bepleistering ontdaan. Op het dak klokkentoren van een laat pendule type in de 18e eeuw veel toegepast doch thans zeldzaam. Van origine 16e-eeuws versterkt huis.
Twee bouwhuizen met mansardedaken dwars voor het huis gelegen, waartussen hekpijlers door leeuwen bekroond, goed ijzersmeedwerk. Tuinkoepel afkomstig van de Doornenburgh te Maarssen.
Fraai gebouw van eenvoudige doch harmonische architectuur en van oudheidkundige waarde.

Bolestein. Country house situated in a canal, now with empire appearance but since restoration of rendering removed. On the roof a bell tower of a late pendulum type much used in the 18th century but now rare. Originally a 16th-century fortified house.
Two residential buildings with mansard roofs situated transversely in front of the house, between which gate piers crowned with lions, fine ironwork. Garden pavilion originating from the Doornenburgh at Maarssen.
Fine building of simple yet harmonious architecture and of antiquarian value.
