Omschrijving
Marekerk, achtzijdig centraal kerkgebouw, ontwerp Arent van 's-Gravesande, 1639-'49. Portaal Jacob van Campen, 1659. Restauratie 1929 en 1940/50. Van oorsprong orgel met Hoofdwerk en Borstwerk, in 1560 gemaakt door Peter de Swart als koororgel voor de Pieterskerk te Leiden. In 1629 vergroot en in 1733 verplaatst naar de Marekerk en omgebouwd door R. Garrels. In 1781 gerepareerd door H.H. Hess. In 1966 werd het orgel door Flentrop gereconstrueerd. Het nog gebruikte oude pijpwerk is overwegend van H.H. Hess. Klokkenstoel met gelui bestaande uit klok van C. Wegewaert, 1647, diameter 202,7 centimeter en een klok van Francois Hemony, 1663, diameter 98,6 centimeter. Mechanisch torenuurwerk, B. Eijsbouts, 1941, later voorzien van elektrische opwinding.

Description
Marekerk, eight-sided central church building, designed by Arent van 's-Gravesande, 1639-'49. Portico Jacob van Campen, 1659. Restoration 1929 and 1940/50. Originally an organ with Hoofdwerk and Borstwerk, made in 1560 by Peter de Swart as a choir organ for the Pieterskerk in Leiden. Enlarged in 1629 and relocated in 1733 to the Marekerk and rebuilt by R. Garrels. Repaired in 1781 by H.H. Hess. In 1966 the organ was reconstructed by Flentrop. The still-used old pipework is predominantly by H.H. Hess. Bell tower with bells comprising a bell by C. Wegewaert, 1647, diameter 202.7 centimetres and a bell by Francois Hemony, 1663, diameter 98.6 centimetres. Mechanical tower clock, B. Eijsbouts, 1941, later fitted with electric winding.
