1. Hoekpand uit de 17e eeuw met in de 19e eeuw gewijzigde voorgevel onder rechte kroonlijst, sierankers.
2. Winkelpui met ijzeren versieringen in Art-Nouveau.
Inleiding
In een van oorsprong 17de eeuws hoekpand geplaatste hoekpui van een bakkerswinkel. De WINKELPUI dateert van omstreeks 1905 en is gebouwd in een karakteristieke, destijds in de winkelarchitectuur in zwang zijnde Art Nouveau stijl. Voor het de huidige functie van bakkerswinkel kreeg heeft het nog een bestemming als kantoor gehad. Het pand vormt de afsluiting van een gesloten gevelwand en maakt deel uit van het beschermde stadsgezicht Leiden.
Omschrijving
In hout, ijzer, glas en natuursteen opgetrokken symmetrische hoekpui behorend bij een vanuit een rechthoekige plattegrond opgetrokken winkel. Geheel hardstenen plint en een eveneens hardstenen omlijsting met gestyleerde florale Art Nouveau motieven. Aan weerszijden van de overhoekse entree een etalagevenster met geprofileerde onderdorpel en gebogen houten traceringen in bovenlicht met korfboog. Hoekingang met portiek. Zich verjongende portiekopening met kwartronde ijzeren korbelen met vakwerkinvulling in de hoeken. Portiekwanden ingevuld met ramen onder bovenlichten met houten hoefijzerbogen en traceringen. Aan weerszijden van de portiekopening een op hardstenen hoekblokken staande en uit vier geklinknagelde kwadrantprofielen van gewalst smeedijzer samengestelde ijzeren kolom. Originele, overhoeks geplaatste, getoogde winkel-glasdeur met asymmetrische, gebogen traceringen onder een bovenlicht als de andere bovenlichten in het portiek. Uit vijf, driehoekige compartimenten met middenknoop bestaand portiekplafond van geprofileerde plankjes. IJzeren puibalken met opgelegde hoekversieringen onder een smalle, licht uitkragende hardstenen rand met kwarthol profiel.
Waardering
De winkelpui is van algemeen cultuurhistorisch belang als karakteristieke uitdrukking van een ontwikkeling in de winkelarchitectuur. De pui is van algemeen architectuurhistorische waarde vanwege de esthetische kwaliteiten, de bijzondere detaillering en het materiaalgebruik, alsmede als goed voorbeeld van winkelarchitectuur in de stijl van de Art Nouveau. Symmetrical corner shop front constructed in wood, iron, glass and natural stone belonging to a shop constructed from a rectangular floor plan. Entirely stone plinth and likewise stone frame with stylised floral Art Nouveau motifs. On either side of the corner entrance a display window with profiled sill and curved wooden tracery in fanlight with segmental arch. Corner entrance with porch. Tapering porch opening with quarter-round iron brackets with lattice infill in the corners. Porch walls filled with windows under fanlights with wooden horse-shoe arches and tracery. On either side of the porch opening an iron column composed of four riveted quadrant profiles of rolled wrought iron, standing on stone corner blocks. Original shop glass door placed over the corner with asymmetrical curved tracery under a fanlight like the other fanlights in the porch. Porch ceiling of profiled boards consisting of five triangular compartments with centre knot. Iron shop beams with applied corner ornaments under a narrow, slightly projecting stone edge with quarter-hollow profile.
