Omschrijving
Kasteel Nederhemert. Temidden van een gracht, waarin de resten van een vierkant, gebastionneerd fort uit de Spaanse tijd herkenbaar zijn, gelegen kasteel, uitgebrand tengevolge van de oorlogshandelingen in 1944-'45. Rechthoekige woontoren, omstreeks 1300, op de zo. hoek. Aansluitend aan de noordzijde een rechthoekige vleugel, 14e eeuw, met ongeveer vierkante toren op de n.o. hoek a. 1400. Ronde hoektoren op de n.w. hoek, waarschijnlijk einde 15e eeuw. Noordvleugel 16e eeuw. 16e eeuwse zuidvleugel met zeskantige hoektoren afgebroken na 1945, evenals een omstreeks 1875 opgetrokken voorgevel.

Description
Nederhemert Castle. Located in the midst of a moat, in which the remains of a square, bastioned fort from the Spanish period are discernible, a castle, burned out as a result of military operations in 1944-'45. Rectangular residential tower, circa 1300, on the south-east corner. Adjoining on the north side a rectangular wing, 14th century, with approximately square tower on the north-east corner c. 1400. Round corner tower on the north-west corner, probably end of 15th century. North wing 16th century. 16th-century south wing with hexagonal corner towers demolished after 1945, as was a front facade erected circa 1875.
