Rechthoekig, aan de voorzijde in het midden iets inspringend blok van twee WONINGEN onder met pannen gedekt schilddak met op de nokeinden een decoratie - kegel met bollen en ringen - in tichelwerk; aan de voorzijde aan weerszijden van het inspringend middendeel een insteekkap (zadeldak) tegen puntgevel, waarvan het bovenste deel bekleed is met hout; aan de achterzijde een lage insteekkap (zadeldak) in het midden; ook de insteekkappen zijn gedekt met pannen. In voor-, zij- en achtergevel(s) getoogde T-vensters, ten dele met 4-ruits bovenlicht. Deuren met venster en getoogd bovenlicht. De in baksteen opgetrokken woningen zijn witgeverfd met zwarte plint. De woningen met afzonderlijke (vrijwel) rechthoekige, door afscheiding omgrensde erven dateren uit de jaren 1907-1909, zijn ontworpen door A. Reichpietsch en vormen een deel van de mijnwerkerskolonie "Hopel", welke in opdracht van de mijn Laura & Vereeniging werd gebouwd.

Description
Rectangular block of two DWELLINGS with a slightly recessed section in the middle of the front elevation, beneath a hipped roof covered with tiles, with a decorative feature - cone with balls and rings - in brickwork on the ridge ends; on the front elevation on either side of the recessed middle section an inserted gable (gabled roof) against a pointed gable, the upper part of which is clad with wood; on the rear elevation a low inserted gable (gabled roof) in the middle; the inserted gables are also covered with tiles. Arched T-windows in the front, side and rear elevation(s), some with 4-pane fanlights. Doors with window and arched fanlight. The dwellings, constructed of brick, are whitewashed with black plinth. The dwellings with separate (virtually) rectangular plots bounded by demarcation date from 1907-1909, were designed by A. Reichpietsch and form part of the miners' colony "Hopel", which was built on the instructions of the mine Laura & Vereeniging.
