Omschrijving
Nieuwe raadhuis. Een klassicistisch gebouw (1830-1835) met een in blokken gepleisterde lijstgevel op hardstenen voet; de middenrisaliet wordt bekroond door een fronton, waarboven een achtzijdig torentje op vierkant onderstuk. Voor de ingang een zuilenportiek, waarboven een balkon met omlijste balkondeur. In de toren een klok van een anonieme gieter, 1499, diam. 39,9 cm. Op de schoorsteen van het oude stadhuis is een zandstenen zonnewijzer geplaatst, vervaardigd door mr. Thomas Berentz. en gedateerd 1615.

Description
New town hall. A neoclassical building (1830-1835) with a cornice-topped facade in ashlar blocks on hard stone base; the central risalit is crowned by a pediment, above which an octagonal turret on square sub-structure. Before the entrance a columned portico, above which a balcony with framed balcony door. In the tower a bell by an anonymous founder, 1499, diam. 39.9 cm. On the chimney-piece of the old town hall a sandstone sundial is placed, made by Mr. Thomas Berentz and dated 1615.
