Omschrijving
Statencollege, thans Westfries Museum. Hoofdgebouw met pronkgevel van natuursteen (1631) aan het Rode Steen. Oudere dwarsbouw achter (XV); jongere vleugel aan de noordzijde de hoofdvleugel belendend doch minder diep en met gevel aan het voorplein, XVIII d. Inwendig balklagen op geornementeerde sleutelstukken waarvan twee oud, betimmering (XVII) o.a. uit de Admiraliteit, spiltrap; 18e eeuwse betimmering in rechter deel en achterkamer met plafond; marmeren binnenpoortje, XVIII d. Aan het voorplein gesmeed ijzeren hek 1729. 2 Kanonnen als schamppalen.

Description
States College, now Westfries Museum. Main building with ornamental facade of natural stone (1631) on the Rode Steen. Older cross section behind (15th century); younger wing on the north side adjoining the main wing but shallower and with facade on the forecourt, fourth quarter of the 18th century. Interior floor beams on ornamented keystones of which two old, panelling (17th century) including from the Admiralty, spiral staircase; 18th century panelling in right section and back room with ceiling; small marble interior doorway, fourth quarter of the 18th century. On the forecourt wrought iron fence 1729. 2 Cannons as chamfer posts.
