Omschrijving
HERVORMD WEESHUIS, twee vleugels aan een binnenhof, waarvan de ene straatwand vormt aan de Korte Achterstraat (ingangsportaal uit 1729) en de andere met een blinde muur langs het open gedeelte van de Turfhaven loopt. Deze vleugel bestaat uit een 16e eeuws gedeelte begrensd door een topgevel, die later bij uitbreidingen in de 18e eeuw is ingebouwd; het hoekgedeelte is in 1848 vernieuwd. Inwendig in de lange vleugel regentenkamer en gang met enig stucwerk 18e eeuw. Bronzen offerblok op hardstenen piedestal. In de tuin hardstenen pomp, twee loden beelden van weeskinderen en een houten eenhoorn.

Description
REFORMED ORPHANAGE, two wings around an inner courtyard, one of which forms the street front on the Korte Achterstraat (entrance portal from 1729) and the other runs with a blind wall along the open section of the Turfhaven. This wing consists of a 16th-century section bounded by a top gable, which was later incorporated during 18th-century expansions; the corner section was renewed in 1848. Internally in the long wing a regents' room and corridor with some 18th-century stucco work. Bronze alms box on stone pedestal. In the garden stone pump, two lead statues of orphans and a wooden unicorn.
