Omschrijving
Ned. Herv. KERK met schip ontstaan door verhoging in de 15e eeuw van de voorafgaande romaanse stenen gewelven. Koor uit de 15e eeuw. Inventaris: preekstoel XVII, herenbanken XVIIc. Oorspronkelijk eenklaviers orgel, in 1819 gemaakt door P. van Oeckelen voor de Herv. Kerk te Assen. In 1855 uitgebreid met een Bovenwerk. Van Oeckelen maakte gebruik van ouder pijpwerk en kas-onderdelen. In 1897 geplaatst in Havelte. In de onmiddellijke nabijheid van de kerk twee zgn. duivelsroosters (apart monumentnummer 454877), een aan de zuidwestzijde van de toren en een aan de noordoostzijde van het koor. Deze gaven toegang tot het kerkhof en bevonden zich in de inmiddels verdwenen omheining of ommuring. Op een steunbeer in de zuidgevel van de kerk is een marmeren zonnewijzer ingemetseld, gedateerd 1805, signering: AV D W.

Description
Reformed Church with nave created by raising in the fifteenth century of the preceding Romanesque stone vaults. Choir from the fifteenth century. Inventory: pulpit XVII, gentleman's pews XVIIc. Originally one-manual organ, made in 1819 by P. van Oeckelen for the Reformed Church in Assen. In 1855 expanded with an upper work. Van Oeckelen made use of older pipework and case components. In 1897 installed in Havelte. In the immediate vicinity of the church two so-called devil's grilles (separate monument number 454877), one on the south-west side of the tower and one on the north-east side of the choir. These provided access to the churchyard and were situated in the meanwhile disappeared enclosure or wall. On a buttress in the south gable of the church a marble sundial is set in, dated 1805, signature: AV D W.
