Omschrijving
"Het Hooge Huis". Vermoedelijk na de sloping van het hertogelijk SLOT in 1580 gebouwd aanzienlijk huis op L-vormige plattegrond en met hoog schilddak, waarin 18e eeuwse dakkapellen. De oostelijke vleugel maakt de indruk in de 18e eeuw of later te zijn toegevoegd. De bakstenen gevels hebben sierankers en vensters met geblokte ontlastingsbogen. Tussen de begane-grond en de verdieping een geprofileerde natuurstenen waterlijst. Het pand bevindt zich op het terrein deel uitmakend van de voormalige verdedigingswerken.

Description
"Het Hooge Huis". Presumably built after the demolition of the ducal CASTLE in 1580, a considerable house on L-shaped floor plan and with tall hipped roof, in which 18th century roof dormers. The eastern wing gives the impression of being added in the 18th century or later. The brick facades have ornamental wall anchors and windows with blocked relieving arches. Between the ground floor and the first storey a profiled natural stone drip moulding. The building is situated on the site forming part of the former fortifications.
