Omschrijving
De Vispoort, een eenvoudig, bakstenen bouwwerk (veertiende eeuw, verbouwd vijftiende eeuw) op rechthoekig grondplan, aan de stadszijde gepleisterd en aan de zeezijde voorzien van een tandfries boven de doorgang, welke mogelijk uit omstreeks 1600 dateert. Aan weerszijden van de poort een langgerekt gedeelte van de middeleeuwse vestingmuur, noordelijk van de poort tot aan het uiterste noordpunt van de oude stad en zuidelijk van de poort tot aan de Rabbestraat.

Description
The Vispoort, a simple brick structure (fourteenth century, rebuilt fifteenth century) on rectangular ground plan, plastered on the city side and provided on the sea side with a tooth frieze above the gateway, which possibly dates from around 1600. On either side of the gateway an elongated section of the medieval fortification wall, northerly from the gateway to the outermost northern point of the old city and southerly from the gateway to the Rabbestraat.
