Omschrijving
Voormalig postkantoor, gebouwd in 1894 naar ontwerp van C.H. Peters. Bakstenen gebouw in de voor deze bouwmeester kenmerkende op de gotiek geïnspireerde trant. Door een puntgevel bekroonde middenrisaliet.
De voorgevel wordt verticaal geleed door hoge korfboognissen ter omlijsting van de vensters. Boogfries met terracotta maskerconsoles onder de daklijst.
De geveltoppen van middenrisaliet en zijgevel worden geleed door bakstenen kolonnetten en versierd door natuurstenen banden. Rijke smeedijzeren sierankers.

Description
Former post office, built in 1894 to designs by C.H. Peters. Brick building in the manner characteristic of this architect, inspired by Gothic style. Central risalit crowned by a pointed gable.
The front facade is articulated vertically by high basket-arch niches framing the windows. Arch frieze with terracotta mask corbels beneath the eaves line.
The gable tops of central risalit and side facade are articulated by brick columnettes and decorated by ashlar bands. Rich wrought-iron ornamental wall anchors.
