Omschrijving
St. Nicolaas, 1876-1877, P.J.H. Cuypers. Driebeukige neogotische pseudobasiliek met achthoekige kruising, overdekt door een stergewelf. Ronde pijlers met lijstkapitelen. Volgens het eerste ontwerp had de kerk vrijwel de aanleg van een centraalbouw; bij de uitvoering werden schip en dwarsschip verlengd en later voegde Cuypers in elk der hoeken van de kruising twee rechthoekige, diagonale kapellen toe, Naast het schip een sobere toren, versierd met spitsboognissen en bekroond door een hoge naaldspits. Van de neogotische inventaris zijn de gebrandschilderde ramen in de apsis-vensters behouden gebleven. Mechanisch torenuurwerk van Eijsbouts, 1917, voorzien van elektrische aandrijving.

Description
St. Nicolaas, 1876-1877, P.J.H. Cuypers. Three-aisle neo-Gothic pseudo-basilica with octagonal crossing, covered by a star vault. Round pillars with list capitals. According to the first design the church had virtually the layout of a central building; in execution the nave and transept were lengthened and later Cuypers added two rectangular diagonal chapels to each of the corners of the crossing. Alongside the nave a simple tower, decorated with pointed-arch niches and crowned by a high spire. Of the neo-Gothic furnishings the stained-glass windows in the apse windows have been preserved. Mechanical tower clock by Eijsbouts, 1917, provided with electric drive.
