Omschrijving
Rode Weeshuis.
Het oorspronkelijk als Geestelijk Maagdenconvent met kapel ontstane complex, na de Reformatie als Weeshuis gebruikt, bestaat uit twee vleugels rond een hof, waarvan de oostelijke nog middeleeuws is en aansluit op de kapel in de zuidoost hoek.
De middeleeuwse zuiderlijke vleugel is onderkelderd in twee beuken; aan de oostgevel smalle stenen tweelichtkozijnen.
In de zuidoost hoek de kapel met op gewelven gedragen galerij in de westelijke helft. In aansluiting op de galerij 15e eeuwse rechthoekige aanbouw met verdieping, waarin smalle spitsboogvensters aan noord- en westzijde.
Overig gedeelte van deze vleugel 17e eeuws met smalle hoge vensters op de verdieping.
Afvoering
Verzoek tot sloop van noord- en westvleugel. 15-04-93: Noord- en westvleugel vervangen door nieuwbouw. Geen controle meer nodig.

Rode Weeshuis.
The complex originally created as a Spiritual Maiden Convent with chapel, after the Reformation used as an almshouse, consists of two wings around a courtyard, of which the eastern is still medieval and adjoins the chapel in the southeast corner.
The medieval southern wing is cellared in two aisles; at the east facade narrow stone two-light frames.
In the southeast corner the chapel with gallery carried on vaults in the western half. Adjoining the gallery 15th-century rectangular extension with storey, containing narrow pointed arch windows on the north and west sides.
Rest of this wing 17th-century with narrow tall windows on the storey.
Removal from the register
Request for demolition of north and west wing. 15-04-93: North and west wing replaced by new construction. No further inspection needed.
