Omschrijving
Dirck Crabethbrug, gietijzeren DRAAIBRUG gemaakt door ijzergieterij De Prins van Oranje te 's-Gravenhage anno 1867 (plaquettes aan beide zijden).
Oorspronkelijke gietijzeren leuningen vervangen door houten hek op eertijds draaibare gedeelte.
Laatste gietijzeren 19e eeuwse draaibrug van de stad. Keersluis met zwaaikom bij het Amsterdamse Veer wijd 5.50 m., voorzien van een paar naar de IJssel gekeerde houten paneeldeuren met ijzeren leuningen waaraan draaimechanisme is bevestigd.
Baksteenwanden, op hoeken en bovenrand voorzien van natuursteen, aan zijde van Hoge Gouwe ter weerszijden van deur twee natuurstenen peilschalen, aan zijde van Lage Gouwe steen met jaartal 1873 (waarin sluizen werden vernieuwd).
In oorsprong in 1436 gebouwd.

Dirck Crabethbrug, cast-iron SWING BRIDGE made by the iron foundry De Prins van Oranje in 's-Gravenhage in 1867 (plaques on both sides).
Original cast-iron railings replaced by wooden railing on formerly swingable section.
Last cast-iron 19th-century swing bridge of the city. Lock with swing basin at the Amsterdamse Veer wide 5.50 m., provided with a pair of wooden panel doors facing the IJssel with iron railings to which a swing mechanism is attached.
Brickstone walls, on corners and upper edge provided with natural stone, on the side of Hoge Gouwe on either side of the door two natural stone water level gauges, on the side of Lage Gouwe stone with date 1873 (in which the locks were renewed).
Originally built in 1436.
