Omschrijving
Fors pand uit de late 18e eeuw onder pannen schilddak, hoekschoorstenen. Voordeuromlijsting en bovenlicht. Vensters behangen met houten zonneschermen. Voormalige pastoriewoning. In 1837 is aan de oostzijde van het huis, aan de kant van het Geertesplein, onder een apart schilddak een aanbouw gebouwd naar een ontwerp van de Goese stadsarchitect L.P. de Lannée de Bétrancourt. In de naar het Geertesplein gekeerde gevel gedenksteen uit 1934 "Buys Ballot 1817-1890" de bekende natuurkundige die als zoon van een dominee in het huis is geboren. Het huis is in 1925 gerenoveerd, naar een ontwerp van architect Goethals. Uit die tijd dateren bijvoorbeeld het interieur en het terras aan de achterzijde, met de stenen bloembakken.

Description
Substantial building from the late 18th century under tiled hipped roof, corner chimneys. Entrance door moulding and fanlight. Windows hung with wooden sun blinds. Former rectory dwelling. In 1837 on the east side of the house, towards the Geertesplein, under a separate hipped roof an extension was built to a design by Goese city architect L.P. de Lannée de Bétrancourt. In the facade facing the Geertesplein a memorial stone from 1934 "Buys Ballot 1817-1890" the renowned natural philosopher who was born in the house as the son of a clergyman. The house was renovated in 1925, to a design by architect Goethals. From that time date for example the interior and the terrace at the rear, with the stone planters.
