Omschrijving
Getijkorenmolen. Het z.g. Soephuis aan de Kleine Kade, met verminkte gepleisterde pilastergevel, bevat in zich restanten van de tot plm 1800 als zodanig gefungeerd hebbende molen, die het predikaat verdiende van stadsgetij-water-koren-molen.
Op het dak van het gebouw een koepeltorentje uit 1624, afkomstig van de in 1855 afgebroken Oude Hoofdpoort. Hierin een belangrijk wellicht nog uit het eind van de 16e eeuw stammend uurwerk en hierop een ook historisch belangwekkende windwijzer.

Description
Tidal corn mill. The so-called Soup House on the Kleine Kade, with mutilated plastered pilaster facade, contains remnants of the mill that functioned as such until circa 1800, which deserved the title of town tidal water corn mill.
On the roof of the building a cupola tower from 1624, originating from the Old Main Gate demolished in 1855. Within it an important clock mechanism, possibly dating from the end of the 16th century, and upon it a also historically noteworthy weathervane.
