Omschrijving
Herv.Kerk met toren op verhoogd kerkhof. Langgerekt kerkgebouw in verschillende perioden ontstaan uit een romaans tufstenen schip; koor gotisch, evenals de forse toren met zeer hoge spits uit 1548/'49, blijkens stichtingssteen. In de kerk preekstoel uit 1699 met achterschot en klankbord; drie koperen kronen, houten wijzerbord uit 1722 tegen de torenmuur op de kerkzolder. Orgel met Hoofdwerk en Rugwerk in kas van G. Stevens uit 1760. Orgel werd in 1764 door A.A. Hinsz gebouwd met gebruikmaking van enig pijpwerk van Stevens. Klokkestoel met gelui van drie klokken, waarvan één van G. van Wou, en J. Schonenborch, 1525, diam. 141 cm., en twee moderne klokken. Mechanisch torenuurwerk G. de Looze, Leeuwarden, 1906, later voorzien van electrische opwinding. In de muur van een zijbeuk van de kerk is een zonnewijzer aangebracht. Op het randschrift staat links: 1 SEPTEMBER en rechts: 20 DECEMBER. De zonnewijzer is tijdens de restauratie tussen 1970 en 1976 vernieuwd.

Description
Reformed Church with tower on raised churchyard. Long-drawn church building arising in different periods from a Romanesque tufa stone nave; choir Gothic, as is the stout tower with very high spire from 1548/'49, as evidenced by foundation stone. In the church pulpit from 1699 with tester and sounding board; three copper crowns, wooden clock face from 1722 against the tower wall on the church loft. Organ with Great and Choir divisions in case by G. Stevens from 1760. Organ was built in 1764 by A.A. Hinsz with the use of some pipework of Stevens. Bell frame with peal of three bells, of which one by G. van Wou and J. Schonenborch, 1525, diam. 141 cm., and two modern bells. Mechanical tower clock G. de Looze, Leeuwarden, 1906, later provided with electric winding. In the wall of a side aisle of the church a sundial has been installed. On the border inscription on the left: 1 SEPTEMBER and on the right: 20 DECEMBER. The sundial was renewed during restoration between 1970 and 1976.
