Omschrijving
Raadhuis van Franekeradeel in Martena State.
Laat middeleeuws onderkelderd gebouw op L-vormig grondplan met traptoren in de hoek. Beide vleugels gedekt door zadeldaken tussen topgevels waarin de vensternissen geprofileerd zijn.
Kleine ronde schoorstenen in top van de gevels. De toren steekt met een verdieping boven deze daken uit.
De gevels van het gebouw bestaan uit afwisselende lage rode en gele baksteen, waarin geprofileerde vensternissen.
Aan de straatzijde ingangspartij, XVIIId-XIX A.
Boven de toreningang gebeeldhouwd dubbel wapen en beeldnis.
Inwendig beganegrond een zaal met geschilderd behang en plafond.
Stucschouw met panelen terzijde, XIXa.
In de burgemeesterskamer schouwbetimmering in 18e eeuwse trant. In een venster op de verdieping kleine gebrandschilderde ruit uit 1609 in herinnering aan de doop van Wessel van Martena in 1317.

Description
Town Hall of Franekeradeel in Martena State.
Late medieval undercellared building on L-shaped ground plan with stair tower in the corner. Both wings covered by gabled roofs between pointed gables in which the window openings are moulded.
Small round chimneys in top of the gables. The tower projects with one storey above these roofs.
The facades of the building consist of alternating low red and yellow brickwork, with moulded window openings.
On the street side entrance section, last quarter of 18th century - first half of 19th century.
Above the tower entrance sculptured double coat of arms and portrait.
Internally ground floor a hall with painted wallpaper and ceiling.
Stuccoed chimneypiece with panels to the side, 19th century.
In the burgomaster's room chimneypiece fitting in 18th-century style. In a window on the first floor small stained-glass pane from 1609 in commemoration of the baptism of Wessel van Martena in 1317.
