Molencomplex bestaande uit een U-vormig woon- en bedrijfsgedeelte met daarin opgenomen de bovenslagmolen, voorraadschuur staande in het verlengde van de zuidelijke vleugel, een door pilasters geflankeerde nis met zonnewijzer, sluis, afslagtak, molentak en spaarvijver. Bovenslagmolen, genaamd `De Meschermolen'. De middenvleugel, tevens woonvleugel, van het U-vormige complex dateert volgens jaartalankers uit 1699; de zijvleugels zijn van iets jongere datum. Voorraadschuur onder zadeldak in het verlengde van de zuidelijke vleugel. Tussendorpelkozijnen van Naamse steen. Inwendig enige Lodewijk XV-e en XVI-e schoorsteenmantels. Een molen op deze plaats wordt al genoemd in het begin van de 17de eeuw. Omstreeks 1739 werd de molen (het gaande werk), aanvankelijk als onderslagmolen gebouwd, verplaatst van het westelijk deel van de noordvleugel, naar het oostelijk deel van de zuidvleugel, waarbij de Voer ca. 175 meter stroomopwaarts afgetakt (`molentak') werd. Door middel van een sluis kon het water van de oude loop van de Voer (`afslagtak') door de molentak gevoerd worden en kwam deze stroomafwaarts weer samen met de Voer. De molentak en een spaarvijver zijn niet meer in gebruik, maar in het landschap goed herkenbaar; ze vormen een wezenlijk onderdeel van het complex. In de tuin een door pilasters geflankeerde nis met zonnewijzer op de kroonlijst. Belangrijk molencomplex verbonden met de economische geschiedenis van de streek. Description
Mill complex consisting of a U-shaped residential and business section incorporating the overshot mill, a storage shed standing in the extension of the southern wing, a niche flanked by pilasters with sundial, sluice, tail race, mill race and mill pond. Overshot mill, named 'De Meschermolen'. The central wing, also residential wing, of the U-shaped complex dates according to date anchors to 1699; the side wings are of slightly later date. Storage shed under gabled roof in the extension of the southern wing. Between-dormers windows of Namur stone. Internally some Louis XV and Louis XVI fireplaces. A mill at this location is already mentioned at the beginning of the 17th century.
