In schoon metselwerk opgetrokken blok van twee woningen met verdiep onder met rode en blauwe muldenpannen (bij nr 47 gewijzigd) gedekt mansardedak met wolfeinden, met geprofileerde houten gootlijsten en windveren; tegen de achtergevel een vlakgedekte aanbouw uit ca. 1955 ter plaatse van de voormalige stalletjes; plint, (hoek) pilasters en decoratieve details gepleisterd; getoogde bovendorpel en aan de voorzijde een dakkapel met twee vensters. De woningen (1914), gelegen temidden van de afzonderlijke erven, zijn een deel van de in 1913-1918 door de Oranje Nassau Mijnen gebouwde mijnwerkerskolonie 'Schaesberg', die door zijn stedebouwkundige aanleg en overeenkomsten in architectuur, kleur- en materiaalgebruik een eenheid vormt en die een der gaafste en voor Nederland vrij zeldzame voorbeelden is van de op de internationale, 19e eeuwse (XIX B) traditie gebaseerde arbeiderswoningbouw door industrielen.

Description
Built in fine brickwork a block of two dwellings with first floor beneath covered with red and blue curved pantiles (at no. 47 altered) mansard roof with half-hipped ends, with profiled wooden gutter lists and wind vanes; against the rear facade a flat-roofed extension from c. 1955 in place of the former small stables; plinth, (corner) pilasters and decorative details plastered; arched head of upper dormer and on the front side a roof dormer with two windows. The dwellings (1914), situated amid separate lots, are part of the miners' colony 'Schaesberg' built in 1913-1918 by the Oranje Nassau Mines, which through its urban planning layout and similarities in architecture, colour and material use forms a unity and which is one of the most intact and for the Netherlands quite rare examples of workers' housing construction based on the 19th century international tradition by industrialists.
