Gepleisterd blok van twee woningen met verdiep onder met pannen gedekt, zadeldak (rechts; nok evenwijdig aan de straat), en haaks daaropstaand wolfdak (links), met geprofileerde houten gootlijsten en windveren; tegen de zijgevels aangebouwd een voormalig stalletje (thans keuken) onder met pannen gedekt zadeldak en daarachter een vlakgedekte aanbouw uit ca. 1955; plint, (hoek)pilasters en decoratieve details in schoon metselwerk; getoogde vensters met getoogde bovendorpels. De woningen (1914), gelegen temidden van de afzonderlijke erven, zijn een deel van de in 1913-1918 door de Oranje Nassau Mijnen gebouwde mijnwerkerskolonie 'Schaesberg', die door zijn stedebouwkundige aanleg en overeenkomsten in architectuur, kleur- en materiaalgebruik een eenheid vormt en die een der gaafste en voor Nederland vrij zeldzame voorbeelden is van de op de internationale, 19e eeuwse (XIX B) traditie gebaseerde arbeiderswoningbouw door industrielen.

Description
Rendered block of two dwellings with storey under hipped roof with pan tiles, gabled roof (right; ridge parallel to the street), and perpendicular half-hipped roof (left), with moulded wooden gutter mouldings and wind braces; built against the side facades a former small stable (now kitchen) under pan-tiled gabled roof and behind it a flat-roofed extension from ca. 1955; plinth, (corner) pilasters and decorative details in exposed masonry; arched windows with arched lintels. The dwellings (1914), located amidst separate plots, are part of the miners' colony 'Schaesberg' built in 1913-1918 by the Oranje Nassau Mines, which through its urban planning and similarities in architecture, colour and material use forms a unity and which is one of the finest and for the Netherlands fairly rare examples of workers' housing construction by industrialists based on the international, 19th-century tradition.
