Omschrijving
Arend Maartenshof. Groot HOF (1625) gelegen tussen de Museumstraat, de Korte Nieuwstraat, de Vest en de Kolfstraat. Vier rijen aaneengesloten woningen van alleen begane grond onder zadeldaken, die op de hoeken door puntgevels worden afgesloten.
Op het uitgestrekte binnenplein een grasveld met hoog geboomte.
De buitenmuren hebben geen vensters. Aan de Museumstraat een rijk versierde poort: Dorische muurzuiltjes, tegen de sokken en de onderzijde van de schacht geornamenteerd met daarboven verkropt hoofdgestel, waarin gevelsteen met tekst. Hierboven hoog opzetstuk met vrouwenfiguren die het wapenschild van de stichter vasthouden, geflankeerd door balusterzuiltjes. Fronton met liggende putti en stenen ballen daarnaast. Aan de Korte Nieuwstraat-hoek Vest een getoogd en geblokt natuurstenen poortje met hekpalen en stangen. De puntgevels hebben vlechtingen en geprofileerde zij-afdekstukken. Op de hoeken aan de Museumstraat natuurstenen hoekblokken.
De vensters in de hof-gevels hebben ramen in stijl XVIII.
Twee smeedijzeren muurlantaarns, pomp met neogotisch ijzeren bovenstuk.
Regentenkamer met schouw en 14 regentenportretten (XVII); beschilderd plafond.

Description
Arend Maartenshof. Large COURTYARD HOUSING (1625) situated between the Museumstraat, the Korte Nieuwstraat, the Vest and the Kolfstraat. Four rows of terraced dwellings of ground floor only under gabled roofs, closed off at the corners by pointed gables.
On the extensive courtyard a lawn with tall trees.
The outer walls have no windows. On the Museumstraat an elaborately decorated gateway: Doric pilasters, decorated at the bases and the lower part of the shaft with above it an offset entablature, containing a facade stone with text. Above this a tall superstructure with female figures holding the founder's coat of arms, flanked by small baluster pilasters. Pediment with reclining putti and stone balls beside it. At the corner of Korte Nieuwstraat and Vest an arched and blocked natural stone gateway with gate posts and railings. The pointed gables have lattice work and profiled side coping pieces. At the corners on the Museumstraat natural stone corner blocks.
The windows in the courtyard facades have frames in 18th-century style.
Two wrought-iron wall lanterns, pump with neo-Gothic iron superstructure.
Regents' room with fireplace and 14 regent portraits (17th century); painted ceiling.
