Omschrijving
Stadhuis. Onderkelderd 16e eeuws gedeelte en vleugel uit 1762 met raadzaal, bekleed met betimmeringen waarin beschilderd behang, stuc, twee schouwen met witjes, supraporten en gemeubileerd met een 18e eeuwse set van 34 stoelen. In het 16e eeuwse deel gemetselde spiltrap. Ingangspartij in 1834 gewijzigd, toen het gebouw ook van een klokkekoepel is voorzien. In de burgemeesterskamer schouw met tegels uit pand aan de Ee buiten de stad (1775). Twee vertrekken met goudlederen behangsel, zandstenen schouw eind 16e eeuw. Klokkenstoel met gelui van twee klokken, waarvan één van J., F. en T. Simonsz?, 1615, diam. 49 cm. en een moderne klok. Mechanisch torenuurwek, is buiten gebruik gesteld.

Description
Town Hall. Basement level contains 16th century section and wing from 1762 with council chamber, lined with panelling containing painted wallpaper, stucco, two fireplaces with decorative overmantels, overdoor panels and furnished with an 18th century set of 34 chairs. In the 16th century section a stone spiral staircase. Entrance section altered in 1834, when the building was also provided with a bell cupola. In the burgomaster's chamber a fireplace with tiles from a property on the Ee outside the city (1775). Two rooms with gilded leather wallpaper, sandstone fireplace late 16th century. Bell tower with bells of two clocks, one of J., F. and T. Simonsz?, 1615, diam. 49 cm. and a modern clock. Mechanical tower clock mechanism, now out of service.
