Het Grote Convent. Oostelijk van R.K. Kerk gelegen complex van middeleeuwse gebouwen, waarin oorspronkelijk het Bagijnenklooster en later Tertiarissenconvent was gevestigd. Het tegenwoordige complex wordt vermoedelijk voor het eerst vermeld in 1434 als een nieuw stenen huis, waaruit de datering eerste kwart vijftiende eeuw zou voortvloeien. Het belangrijkste deel wordt gevormd door een bakstenen vleugel met gewijzigd zadeldak en topgevels, ter lengte van 33 meter die ongeveer dwars op de as van de Kloosterstraat staat. Bakstenen vensters met ontlastingsbogen, grotendeels gedicht of anderszins gewijzigd: in de westgevel een bakstenen poortje (zeventiende eeuws). Inwendig kelders met graatgewelven op bakstenen pijlers en balklagen ca. 1700. Parallel aan de Kloosterstraat een lagere vleugel onder twee evenwijdig lopende daken; het achterste met een hoog opgaand schilddak. Tegen de noordgevel hiervan gotische aanbouw met zadeldak en tuitgevels.

Description
The Great Convent. Located east of the R.C. Church, complex of medieval buildings, in which originally the Beguine Convent and later the Tertiary Convent was established. The present complex is presumably first mentioned in 1434 as a new stone house, from which the dating first quarter fifteenth century would follow. The most important part is formed by a brick wing with altered gabled roof and stepped gables, of a length of 33 metres which stands approximately transverse to the axis of Kloosterstraat. Brick windows with discharging arches, mostly blocked or otherwise altered: in the west facade a brick gateway (seventeenth century). Internally cellars with herring-bone vaults on brick pillars and timber layers ca. 1700. Parallel to Kloosterstraat a lower wing under two parallel running roofs; the rear one with a high hipped roof. Against the north facade of this a late Gothic outbuilding with gabled roof and spout gables.
