Omschrijving
Hervormde of St. Maartenskerk. Driebeukige, laatgotische basiliek van het Nederrijnse type, zonder transept en met koor zonder omgang. Inwendig hoofdbeuk met houten, zijbeuk met stenen netgewelven en cilindervormige pijlers. Sacristie tegen de zuiderzijbeuk bij het koor; portalen onder de toren (apart monumentnummer 12982) en in de zijbeuken, waarvan de noordelijke met goede sculptuur (o.a. geestige zwikvullingen). Bouwtijd: XVId-XVIa (koor 1517-'21). Zeer zware oorlogsschade in 1945. Restauratie: 1919-1930 onder W. te Riele en N. de Wolf. Sinds de oorlog andermaal hersteld. Inventaris: preekstoel, doophek, gestoelten, alles XVII B. Orgel met vier klavieren en vrij Pedaal. In 1916 gebouwd door E.F. Walcker voor de voormalige Gereformeerde Nieuwe Zuiderkerk te Rotterdam.

Description
Reformed or St. Marten's Church. Three-aisle late Gothic basilica of the Lower Rhine type, without transept and with choir without ambulatory. Internally main nave with wooden vault, side aisle with stone net vaults and cylindrical pillars. Sacristy against the south side aisle at the choir; portals under the tower (separate monument number 12982) and in the side aisles, of which the northern one with fine sculpture (including witty spandrel fillings). Construction period: second half 16th century - first half 16th century (choir 1517-'21). Very severe war damage in 1945. Restoration: 1919-1930 under W. te Riele and N. de Wolf. Since the war restored again. Inventory: pulpit, baptismal gate, choir stalls, all second half 17th century. Organ with four manuals and independent pedal. In 1916 built by E.F. Walcker for the former Reformed New South Church in Rotterdam.
