Omschrijving
De Waag. Aan het zuideinde van de Brink gelegen, vrijstaand rechthoekig gebouw van twee verdiepingen op een hoog basement en een met leien gedekt zadeldak achter een omlopende balustrade. Het gebouw is aan de hoeken voorzien van achtzijdige arkeltorens. Aan de noordwesthoek een van de grond af oprijzende achtzijdige traptoren en een op de voortop van het aan de voorzijde terugwijkende schilddak geplaatste dakruiter. Rijke gedetailleerde architectuur met overvloedig gebruik van natuursteen. Aan de noordzijde tegen de smalle voorgevel aangelegd, een door kolommen en gewelven gedragen en door balustrades omgeven bordes, toegankelijk via flankerende trappen. Bordes en opgang voorzien van balustrades met staande en liggende gebeeldhouwde leeuwen.

Description
The Waag. Located at the southern end of the Brink, a freestanding rectangular building of two storeys on a high basement and a gabled roof covered with slates behind an encircling balustrade. The building is provided at the corners with octagonal turrets. At the northwest corner an octagonal staircase turret rising from ground level and a roof cupola placed on the front slope of the hipped roof withdrawing on the front side. Rich detailed architecture with abundant use of natural stone. On the north side against the narrow front facade adjoining, a dais carried by columns and vaults and surrounded by balustrades, accessible via flanking staircases. Dais and approach provided with balustrades featuring standing and reclining sculptured lions.
