Omschrijving
Pand met brede lijstgevel, ca. 1800, ter breedte van zes vensterassen. Lage bovenverdieping. Authentieke gesneden deur met in de omlijsting palmetconsoles en daarboven erker op consoles, Lod. XVI-empire. Ramen met gesneden middenstijlen. Stoep met stoeppalen en smeedijzeren Empire-hekken.
De tuin achter het huis wordt aan weerszijden afgesloten door vroeg-18e-eeuwse bakstenen tuinmuren met een kleurrijk bruin-rood patina. De afstand gemeten vanaf de achtergevel van het huis tot het eind van de tuinmuren bedraagt ruim 34 1/2 meter. Aan de zijde van de Poppesteeg bevindt zich een naar de tuin toe licht overhellende muur met gepleisterde plint met een hoogte van ruim vier meter. De muur heeft een lengte van acht traveeën, gescheiden door brede steunberen en wordt afgedekt door natuurstenen dekplaten. De muur op de scheiding met Oude Delft 73 is verlaagd en deels gepleisterd. De muur heeft een hoogte van ca. 2 1/2 meter en wordt afgedekt door een bakstenen rollaag.
N.B. In 1996 is een gedeelte van deze muur afgebroken in verband met nieuwbouw aan de Westvest. De monumentale vroeg 18e-eeuwse tuinmuren zijn van belang vanwege de ouderdom en materiaalgebruik en zijn historisch-functioneel onderdeel van het huis Portugaal.

Description
Building with broad cornice-topped facade, c. 1800, to the width of six window bays. Low upper storey. Authentic carved door with palmette consoles in the surround and above it an oriel window on consoles, Louis XVI-Empire. Windows with carved central mullions. Stoep with bollards and wrought-iron Empire railings.
The garden behind the house is enclosed on both sides by early-18th-century brick garden walls with a colourful brown-red patina. The distance measured from the rear facade of the house to the end of the garden walls is over 34 1/2 metres. On the side of the Poppesteeg there is a wall leaning slightly towards the garden with a plastered plinth with a height of over four metres. The wall has a length of eight bays, separated by broad buttresses and is topped by natural stone coping plates. The wall on the boundary with Oude Delft 73 is lowered and partly plastered. The wall has a height of c. 2 1/2 metres and is topped by a brick roll course.
N.B. In 1996 a section of this wall was demolished in connection with new building at the Westvest. The monumental early 18th-century garden walls are important because of their age and material use and are historically-functionally part of the house Portugaal.
