Omschrijving
Voormalig gemeentehuis van Murmerwoude, gedateerd 1881. Groot blokvormig pand met verdieping; opgetrokken in rode baksteen, hardstenen plint, onder omlopend schilddak gedekt met pannen. Hoekschoorstenen met geprofileerde lijst en geprofileerde dekplaat. Geprofileerde waterlijst. Brede kroonlijst met cassetten en in de voorgevel met consoles. Getoogde zesruitsschuifvensters met blinden. Sluitstenen boven ramen aan voorgevel. Risalerende ingangspartij in midden van voorgevel met balcon op consoles boven ingang. Brede stucwerkomlijsting van ingang en venster op verdieping, waaromheen omlijsting met kuifstuk, halfronde bekroning (waarop eertijds stadswapen) tussen blokvormige begrenzingen, met naaldspitsje met knopen, hardstenen stoep met stoeppalen. Description
Former town hall of Murmerwoude, dated 1881. Large blocky building with upper storey; built in red brick, hard stone plinth, under a surrounding hipped roof covered with tiles. Corner chimneys with moulded list and moulded coping. Moulded drip moulding. Broad cornice with cassettes and in the front facade with consoles. Arched six-pane sash windows with blinds. Keystones above windows on front facade. Risaliting entrance section in the middle of the front facade with balcony on consoles above entrance. Broad stucco moulding of entrance and window on upper storey, around which moulding with carved crest, semicircular crowning (on which formerly the town coat of arms) between blocky boundaries, with small pinnacle with knobs, hard stone step with bollards. On the rear side a younger extension without upper storey under a hipped roof. Second half of 19th century.
