Omschrijving
KRUISHERENKLOOSTER St.Agatha. Gesticht in 1378, in de Tachtigjarige Oorlog verwoest, in 1612 herbouwd, later meermalen verbouwd en uitgebreid, in 1906 ten dele gesloopt. Na oorlogsschade hersteld in 1949. 15e eeuwse eenbeukige kapel met driezijdige koorsluiting en met kruisribgewelven; 15e, 16e en 17e eeuwse grafzerken in de muren ingemetseld. Kloostergang ten dele bewaard (15e eeuw); aan de oostzijde zes en aan de zuidzijde twee van baksteen gemetselde en door een spitsboog omsloten gekoppelde spitsboogvensters met rond bovenlicht in natuurstenen omlijsting. Kloosterpoort met korfboog- openingen, beeldnissen en jaarsteen (1644); boven de boog het wapen van de orde. In het klooster elf geschilderde portretten van prioren uit de jaren 1648-1855; geschilderde portretten van generalen van de orde; zes gebrandschilderde glaspanelen uit de 17e eeuw in de kloostergang, andere dergelijke panelen in het klooster. 17e- en 18e eeuwse beelden, waaronder Madonna op de maansikkel, met rijk gesneden voetstuk met cherubimkopjes. Klokkenstoel met twee klokken van anonieme gieters, resp. uit 1647, diam. 59 cm. en uit 1914. Mechanisch torenuurwerk M.van de Kerkhof, 1947.
Voorts zijn beschermd de tot het klooster behorende afscheidingen van het kloosterterrein, aan de noord- en zuidzijde gevormd door een fraaie, in baksteen opgetrokken, waarschijnlijk 17e eeuwse muur met beren, aan de westzijde, tussen het hoofdgebouw en het poortgebouw met een uit 1906 daterende, bakstenen muur. (Oostzijde van het terrein wordt afgescheiden door een coniferenhaag).

Description
CRUCIFERS' CLOISTER St.Agatha. Founded in 1378, destroyed in the Eighty Years' War, rebuilt in 1612, later repeatedly altered and expanded, partly demolished in 1906. Restored after war damage in 1949. 15th century single-aisle chapel with three-sided choir closure and with cross-rib vaults; 15th, 16th and 17th century gravestones set into the walls. Cloister arcade partly preserved (15th century); on the east side six and on the south side two brick-built coupled pointed-arch windows enclosed by a pointed arch with round fanlight in natural stone moulding. Cloister gate with basket-arch openings, sculptures and year-stone (1644); above the arch the coat of arms of the order. In the cloister eleven painted portraits of priors from the years 1648-1855; painted portraits of generals of the order; six stained-glass panels from the 17th century in the cloister arcade, other such panels in the cloister. 17th and 18th century sculptures, including Madonna on the crescent moon, with richly carved base with cherub heads. Bell tower with two bells from anonymous founders, respectively from 1647, diam. 59 cm. and from 1914. Mechanical tower clock M. van de Kerkhof, 1947.
Furthermore protected are the enclosures of the cloister grounds belonging to the cloister, on the north and south sides formed by a fine brick-built, probably 17th century wall with arches, on the west side, between the main building and the gate building with a brick wall dating from 1906.
