Omschrijving
Stadhouders- of Drostenhuis. Belangrijk pand uit de 15e eeuw, bestaande uit twee, parallel lopende vleugels, evenwijdig aan de Slotstraat en aan weerszijden afgesloten door hoge trapgevels. Het bakstenen gebouw heeft hoekblokken van Gobertangersteen. De voorgevel heeft vensters met zesruitsschuiframen en een vroeg 19e eeuwse deuromlijsting met gelijktijdige deur- en bovenlicht. Inwendig moer- en kinderbinten op versierde sleutelstukken en in een der vertrekken van de eerste verdieping een fresco (15e eeuw ?) met voorstelling van de Kruisiging met stichters. In de oostelijke helft een opkamer boven een kelder met troggewelfjes.

Description
Stadtholder's or Drost's house. Important building from the 15th century, consisting of two, parallel wings, parallel to the Slotstraat and closed off on both sides by high stepped gables. The brick building has corner stones of Gobertange stone. The front facade has windows with six-pane sash windows and an early 19th-century door surround with contemporary door and fanlight. Internally principal and subsidiary tie-beams on decorated keystones and in one of the rooms on the first floor a fresco (15th century ?) depicting the Crucifixion with donors. In the eastern half a chamber above a cellar with trough vaults.
