Description

Reformed Church. Two-aisle hall church built of brick with natural stone bands in the tower. South wing 14th century, late, whose choir is now fitted out as a funeral chapel. Standing at right angles to the axis of the church, connected to the south wall only by a passage, vaulted vestry with carved corbel stones and fireplace mid-15th century. Above this an upper room accessible by a spiral stair with fireplace and visible roof truss structure. North wing 16th century, first half, with north transept and choir. The formerly present wall paintings have largely disappeared. Inside: pulpit c. 1700. Baptismal gate with bench 17th century, second half. Benches 17th century, third and fourth quarters. Marble funerary monument for Cornelis Ockerse and Johan Daniel Ockerse c. 1745 by H.Seunties. Marble funerary monument for Petrus Mogge c. 1756.
