Omschrijving
Van de aarden wallen met stenen poorten (1590), in 1820 als vestingwerken opgeheven, is het beloop rondom de stad nog te volgen. Aan de Oostzijde van de haven zijn nog twee bastions te herkennen, evenals de saillant van een bastion, met daarop staande korenmolen aan de Noordzijde.

Description
Of the earthen ramparts with stone gates (1590), abolished in 1820 as fortifications, the course around the town is still traceable. On the east side of the harbour two bastions are still recognisable, as well as the salient of a bastion, with a grain mill standing on it on the north side.
