Omschrijving
Stadhuis. In oorsprong middeleeuws gebouw op de hoek van Markt en Koopmanstraat. Gevel vernieuwd 1639 en andermaal in 1792. In laatstgenoemd jaar werd de zandstenen gevel in strakke Lodewijk XVI vormen met driehoekig fronton opgetrokken naar ontwerp van J. van Westenhout. Gerestaureerd en inwendig gemoderniseerd 1955. Lager achtergedeelte langs de Koopmanstraat, van grote vensters voorzien XVIII. Hierachter gebouwtje onder zadeldak van alleen begane grond met schuiframen (XVIII) en deur met pilasters en bovenlicht uit dezelfde tijd. Langs de zijgevel van het raadhuis stoeppalen met kettingen en voor het achterste gebouwtje stoep met hekken.

Description
Town Hall. Originally a medieval building at the corner of Markt and Koopmanstraat. Facade renewed in 1639 and again in 1792. In the latter year the sandstone facade was erected in strict Louis XVI forms with triangular pediment according to a design by J. van Westenhout. Restored and internally modernized in 1955. Lower rear section along the Koopmanstraat, provided with large windows 18th century. Behind this a small building under a gabled roof at ground floor only with sash windows (18th century) and door with pilasters and fanlight from the same period. Along the side facade of the town hall bollards with chains and in front of the rear building stoep with fences.
