19e eeuwse stadsboerderij bestaande uit een woonhuisgedeelte met binnenplaats en een evenwijdig daaraan gesitueerd houten schuurgedeelte, gelegen aan het eind van de Kaaistraat tegen de stadswal en voorzien van een stoep met stoeppalen. Het woonhuisgedeelte van de boerderij is in twee bouwlagen met kapverdieping opgetrokken in baksteen onder een pannen schilddak en voorzien van een lijstgevel (XIX); deze is voorzien van zesruits schuifraamkozijnen, een paneeldeur met sierrooster en bovenlicht. In de voorkamer resteren van een complete betegeling enkele tableaux met landelijke taferelen. In de voormalige keuken achter de binnenplaats is een grote hangschouw waarboven een langgerekt tegeltableau met afbeelding van het landleven, voorzien van de initialen "I.Lz.".
De op rechthoekige grondslag opgetrokken schuur bezit twee puntgevels met hooiluiken en eenvoudige makelaars, een hoge wand met inrijdeuren aan de vrije zijde en een lage wand achter het woonhuis. De wanden zijn rondom van zwart geteerde gepotdekselde delen voorzien. De inwendige draagstructuur bestaat uit een achttal gebinten met driehoekspanten met blokkelen en hanebalken op korbeels.

Description
19th century urban farmhouse consisting of a residential section with courtyard and a wooden barn section parallel thereto, situated at the end of Kaaistraat against the city wall and provided with a step with bollards. The residential section of the farmhouse is constructed in two storeys with roof storey in brick under a tiled hipped roof and provided with a cornice-topped facade (19th century); this is fitted with six-pane sash window frames, a panel door with ornamental grille and fanlight. In the front room remnants of complete tiling of several panels with rural scenes. In the former kitchen behind the courtyard is a large hanging hood with above it an elongated tile panel depicting rural life, provided with the initials "I.Lz.".
The barn constructed on rectangular plan has two pointed gables with hay doors and simple guttering, a high wall with carriage doors on the open side and a low wall behind the residential house. The walls are provided all around with black tarred plaster sections. The internal load-bearing structure consists of eight frames with triangular trusses with crown posts and tie beams on corbels.
