Omschrijving
Voormalige Vleeshal, thans Stedelijk en Bisschoppelijk Museum. 1614-'17 gebouwd, in 1722 van een nieuwe gevel voorzien met behoud der door Melchior van Herbach uitgevoerde hardstenen poort en runderkoppen boven de vensters. Bovenverdieping diende als gildekamer der voetboogschutters: in houten topfronton beeld van St.Joris met de Draak. Benedenruimte in 1861 tot boterhal ingericht, bovenverdieping inwendig gemoderniseerd. Hardstenen hoekpilasters en kruiskozijnen. Achteruitgang aan de Karrestraat met geblokte hardstenen poort met wapen-cartouche; in de gang een korfbogige ingangspoort met uitgekraagde deklijst.

Description
Former Meat Hall, now Municipal and Episcopal Museum. Built 1614-'17, in 1722 provided with a new facade with retention of the hard-stone door executed by Melchior van Herbach and cattle heads above the windows. Upper storey served as guild room of the foot-bow shooters: in wooden pediment image of St. George with the Dragon. Ground floor fitted out as butter hall in 1861, upper storey modernized internally. Hard-stone corner pilasters and cross windows. Rear exit on Karrestraat with blocked hard-stone door with coat-of-arms cartouche; in the passage a basket-arched entrance door with projecting drip moulding.
