The Department's description
Exterior description and setting
Small, basalt rubble built bridge carrying a road over the Cross Hill Burn. The Road branches to the E of the Ballydrain Road, roughly a mile S of Comber.
The bridge has a single, crudely constructed arch (roughly elliptical), and low rubble parapets. The road above is covered in tarmac.
Historical information
A bridge is shown on this site on the OS maps of 1834 and 1858 and marked ‘Crosshillburn Bridge’ on the latter.
