The Department's description

Site of former single storey dwelling (on the S side of the Grangee Road c.1 mile NW of Carrowdore) demolished recently [?c.1985], with modern dwelling built close by.

Description from 1st Survey Card " Single?sty cottage. Roof corr. Asbestos, gable ends. Wall roughcast, front painted white. 2 D/H windows, horiz. Astragals. Central sheeted door. Plain yellow painted architraves to all openings. Lower shed extension on RH gable with metal casement."

A small building is shown on this site on the OS Map of 1833/4, with a slightly longer structure shown on that on 1858-60. The former dwelling on this site was demolished in recent times [?c.1985] and a modern house has been constructed close by.
