The Department's description

Site (off a short lane on the E side of the Abbey Road) within the small hamlet of Ballyfrenis of former single storey dwelling, demolished c.1980 with modern (replacement) dwelling built in place.

Description from 1st Survey: "Single/sty cottage. Roof cor/asbestos. Gable ends. Chimneys rendered. Wall rendered and painted white. 3 D/H windows, no astragals. Projecting porch between 1st and 2nd windows. Shed roof, sheeted door. Shed at L/H gable, sheeted door. Shed backset on R/H gable, sheeted door."

A building is shown on this site on the OS Map of 1858-60 which probably corresponded with that demolished in c.1980.
