The Department's description

Site (on the side of the Ballygelagh Road south of Kirkistown) of former two storey house of perhaps c.1870s with formal front façade and decorated door surround. The building was demolished in 1995, with only various gabled outbuildings surrounding the grass covered ground where it once stood.

Description from 1st Survey "2/sty house with single/sty extension on L/H and single/sty projection at back. Roof asbestos slated, gabled ends. Yellow brick mld chimneys. 3 F/FL and 2 G/FL blocked window openings. Segmental arch head and decorated keystone. Walls rendered and lined. Central doorway with pilasters, lintol, cornice and blocking course. Decorated motifs on lintol, blocking course and frieze of pilasters. Door panelled and oblong fanlight blocked. Base course. Front 33ft."

Building shown on this site on the OS Map of 1834 and c.1860, but the house on this site until recently may have dated from c.1870s. The building was demolished c.1995.
