The Department's description

Exterior description and setting

Former mid 19th century water-powered beetling mill on left bank of Doagh River now converted into a residence. Section at north was beetler’s accommodation, projecting central section housed a 24ft x 8ft waterwheel and section at south contained 10 beetling engines. Roof has been reslated and chimney added. All openings have been altered, uPVC frames inserted and interiors totally reconfigured.
