The Department's description
Exterior description and setting
The kilns have been demolished and the site is now vacant. The only remaining structure of interest is a single storey shed set parallel to the railway line. It has pitched slate roof and uncoursed basalt rubble walling with stepped brick eaves course and quoins. Central segmental-headed recess all in brick with decorative quoins to reveals contains double-height entrance opening fixed with modern steel sliding doors.
