Exterior description and setting

A 1½ storey 3-bay house with extensive additions to the rear. Main entrance faces east.

Gabled slated roofs; yellow brick chimneys; walls rendered with pebble dash with painted stone quoins and rendered plinth. Windows are rectangular PVC fixed lights with top-hung vents with pseudo margin lights.
Main entrance is a rectangular timber 4-panel door with 3-pane sidelights and a fanlight set in an elliptically arched surround with plain pilasters. Four granite steps flanked by concrete extensions. PVC rainwater goods. Extensions to the rear are in white painted roughcast with smooth rendered quoins. Modern PVC conservatory to west side of rear return.

SETTING: The house stands facing the main road but set back from it within its own grounds. Lawn to front. Approached by a gateway comprising a pair of octagonal stone piers with ogee shaped caps; pair of wrought iron gates of decorative design, look new. Gateway recessed off main road by low curving screen walls, pebble dashed, terminating in small square piers. Front boundary formed by a hedge.
