The Department's description
Exterior description and setting
Demolished and replaced by a new building. It was described in the first survey in 1971 as "A three bay, two storey house, with walls finished in render. The roof is slated. The centrally placed entrance is surmounted by an entablature on console brackets. Double hung windows with plain glazing are set in square moulded openings with keystones. Extremities of building are finished with quoins; chimneys are of yellow brick. The door has been replaced by a modern glazed type with similar sidelight. Decorative iron railings project across the pavement."
Historical information
Precise date of building not known but it appears for the first time on the OS map of 1858, as a replacement for a smaller building which appeared on the map of 1829.
